May I introduce Myself

 Good morning everyone and welcome to my Blog: Teacher Mom 

My name is Shaima, I am a Single Mother living with my Super Star daughter in Florida, USA. 

Few years ago, I moved to Florida with my then husband and our daughter in a hope to start a new life, a new clean page in our turbulent marriage. We decided to leave our beloved family home and all that we love and cherish to work on our number 1 priority: Our Family. 

In doing so, I changed careers as well. I used to work in Corporate Finance, a holder of an MBA in International Management from University of London Royal Holloway: not too shabby ay! To be an Elementary School Teacher, teaching 3rd grade in a private community school. 

The move and the career switch were very difficult and mighty stressful; that bullet was so hard to bite but I did it! This blog will be my story and my experience as a Teacher and a Single Mom 👑👑

You can tell that my marriage did not survive, unfortunately. However, a blessing in disguise is what is happening to my daughter and I. 

I am hoping with this blog, I get to reach Moms, Dads, Teachers, and community members to understand these two worlds (Home & School) that to me are actually One Big Beautiful World. The Great Poet Hafez Ibrahim says: " A Mother is a School"  Together we will understand what is ailing us as a community and educators: not just the administrators! Other things too.
